The Complete Works of Henry Fielding, in 3 volumes, comprising his novels, plays and miscellaneous writings with memoir of the author by Thomas Roscoe, illustrated with twenty etchings of steel by George Cruikshank. Published by Bell and Daldy, London. Date is not stated but presumed midto late 1800s. 1116 pages in total.
Three hardback volumes, brown leather spines and edges. Five raised bands on spine, Gilt lettering on paper insert (insert missing from volume III. Marbled endpapers. Some foxing on end papers. Some rubbing and wear around edges of cover boards and spine folds. Gilt on top edges, deckles fore edges, untrimmed bottom edges. Some rubbing and wear around edges of cover boards and spine folds. No writing or other markings in the book. The set is in a very good condition.
The set would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
