Shipping policy

At Highlands Bookshop, we know how much it matters that your books arrive promptly and in excellent condition. Here's what you need to know.

Dispatch Times
Orders ship within 1–2 business days of being placed. You'll receive an email with tracking details as soon as your order is on its way.

Shipping Rates
We ship with Canada Post from Minden Hills, Ontario. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout from the weight of your order and your destination, so you pay only the actual postage. Available services include:

• Canada: Expedited Parcel, Xpresspost and Priority.
• United States: Canada Post's US services, from Small Packet to Xpresspost.
• International: Small Packet (surface or air), Tracked Packet, International Parcel and Xpresspost International.

All prices are in Canadian dollars.

Tracking
Most services include tracking. Some economical international surface options can take up to three months and may not be tracked. The service name at checkout will tell you which is which.

Customs, Duties and Taxes
International orders may be subject to import duties or taxes charged by the destination country. These are the recipient's responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping charges.

Packaging
Every book is carefully wrapped and packed with materials suited to delicate and valuable items, so it arrives in the same condition in which it left our shop.
