Sinclair Lewis

Sinclair Lewis was an American novelist, playwright, and short-story writer. He was born in 1885 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, and attended Yale University. Lewis was active during the early 20th century and is associated with the literary movement known as American realism. He was known for his satirical and critical portrayals of American society and culture. Lewis's most influential works include Main Street (1920), Babbitt (1922), and Elmer Gantry (1927).
