E. Phillips Oppenheim was a British author who was active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was known for his prolific writing career, having published over 100 novels and numerous short stories. Oppenheim's works often revolved around themes of espionage, mystery, and adventure, and he is considered one of the pioneers of the spy thriller genre. Oppenheim began his writing career at a young age, publishing his first novel, "Expiation," in 1887.
