You Only Live Twice, by Ian Fleming, New American Library, 1964. Book club edition. 240 pages
A book club edition of a classic James Bond novel. Hardcover volume with lettering on spine. On the inside cover and bottom page edges there are a total of three stamps belonging to Birmingham Area Seniors Coordinating Council in Michigan. This makes it all that much more interesting that the book also has what looks like 3 tiny bullet holes (2.7mm Kolibri?) going through the front cover. Two of them pierce the dust jacket and stop at the hardcover, but one goes all the way through to the last page of chapter 9 (Instant Japan, page 105).
Aside from the bullet holes and stamps from the seniors council, the book is in a fine condition. There are no other marks, it is tightly bound. Deckled fore-edges.
The dust jacket is present but has moderate signs of wear: rubbing, wear and rips along edges, fading and evidence of a damp stain on spine.
Please see photos to confirm condition.
This is clearly a book with its own interesting history, and it would make a great conversation piece as a part of a book collection of any Bond fan.
