The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany, by William L. Shirer, published by Secker and Warburg, London, second printing, 1961. 1245 pages.
Blue hardcover volume, cloth binding, gilt lettering and ornamentation on spine. Moderate wear to cover boards, mainly discoloration and tan spots around corners and spine. Tears in binding along the spine, evidence of spine cover having been mended. Slight tears in inside cover (see photos to confirm condition).
There is no writing or markings throughout the book. Only minor fading to pages due to age of the book. The book body is well bound.
Dust jacket is missing.
This early printing of Shirer’s famous work has been thoroughly read many times, and still has a lot of life left in it.
Would make a great gift for anyone interested in the history of the twentieth century.
