Top edges are painted black. The volumes are very clean, tightly bound, with no writing or markings of any kind. There is some foxing to endpages and fore-edges.
The books are in a very good condition and would make an excellent edition to the library of any H. G. Wells fan.
Original rice paper sleeves (with substantial signs of wear) are present for both World of William Glissold volumes.
