Black hardcover volume with red lettering on cover and spine. Moderate wear on cover, top of spine is missing. The book has a moderate forward tilt.
On inside front cover, there are two inserts – intstructions for borrowing the book from Burton’s Limited circulation library, as well as a newspaper clipping about Major Gibbs. It’s also dated 1958, and also marked by Wallace Library, Booth No. 9.
Back inside cover contains libarary borrowing stamps, a total of nearly 60 between October 1926 and May 1927 – the book was clearly a huge hit when it first came out in 1926! Please see photos to confirm condition.
