There is an ink inscription on the front end page, dated to 1890:

“Annie J. Poole.
In affectionate remembrance
From S. M. & E. Pearce.
Dec. 19th 1890”

There is no other markings in the book.

Fore-edges painted, same colour and design as endpages and cover. There is a rip separating the front cover from the spine, but thread is keeping the cover attached.
There is a rubbed off spot on back cover.

The bookblock itself is in a fine condition with minimal wear
